I’m Beatriz Rentes, a multidisciplinary designer and visual artist with a passion for graphic design, problem-solving, and visual storytelling. With a Master’s degree in Global Design from Cardiff School of Art and Design, I specialise in branding, illustration, and ethical design—always with a strong focus on human-centred design and its broader impact.
At Stantec, I work on a variety of projects, from animations to editorial design, bringing creativity and strategy together to craft meaningful visual narratives. Beyond my professional work, I’ve re-designed art history projects, created self-published work, and explored how design shapes our perceptions. One of my most personal projects was a children’s book aimed at helping parents talk to their children about mental health—something I wrote and illustrated with an emphasis on ethical storytelling and emotional resonance.
Drawing portraits has also taught me the importance of small details and the value of collaboration, ensuring that every project I take on reflects both creativity and purpose. Whether through freelance work, university projects, or industry experience, I’m passionate about using design as a tool for positive change—creating work that is not only visually compelling but also socially and ethically meaningful.
